Does this guy like me? What should I do?

Okay, so there's a guy who's been dating this girl for a long time. He's a couple years older than me and we ended up having a class together. Now, I'm not interested in him, I like someone else. But it kind of seems like he's interested in me. He always teases me and talks to me (we sit next to each other in class) and he even calls me cute, like, all the time! Then, one day I went to congratulate him on something and I was just going to shake his hand but he hugged me which was totally unexpected. Now, I'm friends with the girl he's dating but I think he likes me but I'm not interested. I don't know if I should ask if he likes me or tell him I'm not interested or what... What should I do?
