Camcorder Micrphones?

I recently bought a Mitsuba HDC-505 camcorder. To do interviews for my website. It's a great camera but the built in microphone is horrible. So I'm looking to buy a lapel microphone with a bodypack transmitter. I'm not sure if that's what I need or not, and if that is the kind of microphone that I need what brand should I use? I'm not good with electronics at all, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
