What happened to my pc,the screen is blank?

when i turned ON,the fan was running but there was no screening at my LCD.but when i tested out my LCD to my friend's PC it was OK.so there is nothing to do with my LCD.so it might be my PC.so what could happened to my PC?is it caused by RAM or HARD DISK of something else?need help from specialist!TQ
